Wayfarer - A Dark Fantasy Interactive Fiction Game

Wayfarer is a unique dark fantasy interactive fiction game that combines the storytelling of a novel, the player choice of an RPG, and the dice roll mechanics of a tabletop game. With each playthrough, the experience changes, making it a highly replayable game.

In Wayfarer, players create and customize their character, choosing their gender, pronouns, name, ancestry, origin, and appearance. They can upgrade four skills, which will determine their successes and failures, and unlock traits that reflect their character's choices. Players can also recruit companions, build relationships, and even find romance.

The game is set in the magical city of Velantis, where players must navigate enemy factions, meddling guilds, and escalating political tensions. Their choices will ultimately determine the city's fate and the fate of every person who lives there.

Wayfarer is not for the faint of heart, as it contains fantasy and medieval violence, depictions of blood and gore, explicit language, sexually suggestive themes, and drug and alcohol use. It is rated Mature 17+.

It is highly recommended that players make a manual save to their device regularly, as Wayfarer is a browser-based game that saves to the browser. If the browser clears its cache or history, the saves will be lost. Players can make unlimited saves independently of their browser by saving with Save to Disk. These are stored on the device and can be uploaded directly into the game.
