I'm the Echo when You call: A Dark Fantasy Romance Game

I'm the Echo when You call is a dark fantasy romance game that explores the theme of 'Red Herring'. As a Liminari, the player is a scholar who has committed sacrilege by pursuing forbidden knowledge in hopes of evolving into an Old One, a being who can break itself out of the curse of the ouroboros and become a god. During one of their solitary voyages into the Great Nothing, the player encounters a dying soul and must decide whether to watch it die or feed it enough of their vitae to see it restored. The encounter will change the player, but how? With 18,000 words in total and approximately half an hour per single playthrough, the game offers six possible endings. The plot is told in a series of scenes inspired by diaries or journals that depict an expedition or research of some kind. The game includes body horror, mentions of rituals involving blood and mutilation, self-inflicted injuries, human sacrifice, descriptions of death and violence, religious themes, and possible depersonalization and derealization. The game is rated 17+. The game was created using Ren'Py by Tom Rothamel and features customizable characters and gender-selectable companions. The game's writing, GUI, coding, and art were all done by PDRRook. The game's fonts are free for personal and commercial use and include Catharsis Requiem and RM Almanack.
